About SRIWE

I'm an immigrant from Sri Lanka, now living in Ontario, California, where I work as a software engineer. While I've built a life here in Southern California, my heart has never left the island I call home.

SRIWE started as something deeply personal—a tribute to my country and a way to share the beauty, warmth, and wonder of Sri Lanka with my Los Angeles community. I've seen firsthand how magical this island is: the ancient temples that whisper stories of centuries past, the pristine beaches where the Indian Ocean meets golden sand, the misty tea plantations that blanket the hills, and the genuine hospitality of the Sri Lankan people.

But I also know how overwhelming it can be to plan a trip to a place halfway around the world. Language barriers, unfamiliar customs, finding trustworthy local operators—these challenges kept many of my friends and neighbors from experiencing what I knew could be the trip of a lifetime.

That's why I created SRIWE. I wanted to be the bridge—someone who understands both worlds, who speaks your language and knows the local landscape, who can connect you with the right people and ensure your journey is everything you dream it to be.
